I only had 172 entries posted on my old blog. I was sifting through some of the older ones and realized the minor task of cleanup ahead of me. It is not quite as cumbersome as I earlier thought.
In sifting through, I thought - how funny some of these older entries really are. Many will not survive my mental sieve of cleanup. The world will be a better place without much of it.
The monumental task will begin sometime in the next three weeks, as I am leaving town for a while. I will be sure to update my flickr often, so stay tuned. Be there, or be square.

Invariably busy as of late (summer always is), but articles in the works:
- CSS for a page where the footer is at the bottom of either the nav columns or content. (It’s actually alarmingly simple.)
- PHP/CF parsing of my starred Google Reader entries (if you haven’t tried Google’s Personalized Homepage and/or its RSS reader, you don’t know what you’re missing. Which, unrelated, I didn’t know what I was missing in not using an RSS reader. I don’t know how I went so long actually visiting all of those web sites.)
- Global warming.
- New and pretty thought out categories, made to work like tags (like Josh’s).
- All of my old entries brought on over to here. Good times.
Stay tuned.

I received my second diploma in the mail today - Web Information Technology. There was much rejoicing. I am looking forward to doing some more hardcore web development in the future. Now that my blog is powered with PHP, perhaps I will do some PHP development instead of ColdFusion.
I also received a certificate for Visual Basic programming. I’m not sure how that qualifies for anything, but I had the qualifications for it so I figured I might as well apply for it. You can never have too many certifications, right? Right.
Speaking of PHP blogs, I absolutely adore this web interface versus my bane of iBlog. I still have got to import all of my old posts. It will get done soon enough.

Switched hosting services and hopefully I have everything almost fully finished here. When I have time, I obviously need to add a little Neatly Sliced branding to my lovely watermelon up above. I hope y’all have subscribed to the feed, or have bookmarked my new home here at blog.neatlysliced.com.
Josh has found all sorts of cool plug-ins that I have had absolutely zero time to pore over. All of this work and then volunteer work on top of it, it’s amazing I have time to grab lunch once in a while.
Please do leave a comment just to say “hey I’ve gotten the message with the switch and everything looks okay.” In fact, you can copy and paste that. Or you can say “hey, I’m here and I notice this and that need to be fixed.” That would be great too.
Anyway, permalinks working, name adjusted, comments do not require my moderation (way too much work). All is well in the world.
