I have long ago neglected to mention my namesake pizza blogger, Slice. Not long ago Slice blogged regarding Subway offering personal pan pizzas. I did not know that this was news as we have had Subway pizza in the midwest for several months now.
The pizzas in NYC appear vastly different than the ones here; their pizzas look nuked and pre-made. Our Subways actually make them on the spot, putting the meatball marinara and salad shredded cheese on the pizza, and then run them through the toaster. Or, at least that’s what I recall. The odd things that happen with individually owned franchises!

No, made the same way.. The “Toaster” you refer to is the “reheat in a ’speed oven’” he mentions. Same thing, different perspectives.
Hey, what can you expect from a “pizza connoisseur” of sorts? The Subway pizza IS better than the Pizza Hut personal pizza IMHO, but they are both fast-food pizzas. Of course they’re gross compared to pizza’s finest.
