I have a little program called I Love Stars installed. It's a nice litle program (puts song stars in the menu), but it is I believe what is causing iTunes to relaunch.

For me the culprit is SqueezeCenter, I had it set to "Use iTunes" so it kept relaunching iTunes if I quit it.

Hi, I don't have the widget installed and still facing the same problem !
Don't know what to do. I'm not sure but think that I have to empty the PRAM to resolve it.
Really boring, grrrr

I had been thinking it had something to do with the latest Tiger Security Update, but going by the date of the original post, not. But getting rid of the controller widget solved the problem.

This problem is far more widespread than I had anticipated. I'll have to test it in Leopard to see if it is still unresolved.

I can understand launching iTunes if a button on the widget is pressed, but just random launching is ridiculous.
